Shortly before the Extraordinary Virtual G20 Leaders’ Summit, Vladimir Putin and Emmanuel Macron exchanged views on the developments around the coronavirus pandemic. The two presidents informed each other about the measures taken in their countries to counter the spread of this infection and minimise its socioeconomic fallout. They reaffirmed their commitment to further coordinating efforts to repatriate nationals of the two countries, as well as facilitating the transfer of medical supplies and equipment.
They also discussed possible cooperation within the framework of the UN Security Council in the context of joint efforts against the coronavirus pandemic.
Vladimir Putin and Emmanuel Macron touched upon the latest developments in the Syrian and Libyan settlement.
It was agreed to maintain contact at various levels.
