In Russia, the provision of medical care to veterans of the Great Patriotic War and equivalent categories of citizens is under ongoing monitoring. As of October 1, routine medical examinations have been conducted for more than 124,000 veterans of the Great Patriotic War, including 67,700 who received home visits. Subsequently, based on the results of these examinations, medical care was provided to 107,000 veterans, with 66,000 receiving treatment in their homes.

Special attention is also given to those who defended the country during the special military operation. A new section, Procedure for Providing Medical Care to Combat Veterans, has been incorporated into the state programme for guaranteeing free medical care to citizens for 2025–2027. This procedure grants combat veterans priority access to all types of medical care.

Key provisions also include access to spa treatment, the right to choose a convenient primary healthcare facility with a designated personal coordinator, the right to consultation with a medical psychologist at all stages of care, and various aspects related to routine medical examinations and follow-up for veterans.

Following the meeting, a number of instructions were issued to the Ministry of Health to be implemented in coordination with the regions.
