Vladimir Putin invited the leaders of the State Duma factions to develop a plan for forthcoming legislative measures as soon as possible. In Mr Putin's opinion they should place special emphasis on the legislation that will act as the foundation for the concept of Russia's long-term social and economic development strategy through to 2020. Moreover, it is necessary to focus on the formation of a fundamentally new social policy, improve the taxation system, increase entrepreneurship among Russian citizens and develop anti-corruption legislation.

Among the other attendees, Speaker of the State Duma Boris Gryzlov and representatives of the main parliamentary factions Vladimir Zhirinovsky, Gennady Zyuganov and Nikolai Levichev attended this regular meeting.
