Today is a momentous day for all of you: your regiment equipped with the Topol-M missile systems is now fully deployed.
Strategic Missile Forces are an essential component of Russia’s military might. They have a special potential, the result of efforts by many scientists, engineers, workers, and military experts.
Thanks to our country’s nuclear missile shield, we are able to ensure national stability, to take part in tackling a wide range of challenges and effectively defend our national interests, both at present and in the long term.

That is why the state has been paying and will continue to pay special attention to improving the technology intensiveness of the Strategic Missile Forces.
Starting today your regiment will operate fifth generation missile systems, which have new and better combat capabilities, the latest control systems and everything you need for the personnel’s life support.

In a few days we will celebrate the Defender of the Fatherland Day. I want to congratulate you on the upcoming holiday and wish you every success in your service and all the best.
I am confident that missile defence servicemen will continue to perform their duties with honour, to successfully complete all their tasks, master the use of new technology and thereby maintain the highest level of combat readiness.

In accordance with the approved plan for the development of the Armed Forces, the 60th Missile Division has conducted a major effort on the upgrading and deployment of the new fifth generation missile systems. This confirms once again the successful implementation of the state programme for the equipment of the missile forces. We will continue to fulfil all tasks in a timely manner.
