The President signed the Federal Law On Ratifying the Protocol on Resuming the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Trade and Economic Cooperation in the Field of Petroleum and Refined Product Supplies to the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 9, 2010, and Amending It.
The Protocol was signed on November 27, 2024 in Astana.
The provisions of the Protocol provide for the renewal of the Agreement from January 1, 2024, as well as amending it in order to extend the Agreement until January 1, 2028, with optional automatic extension of its validity for subsequent five-year periods.
