The Fourth Protocol on Amending the Charter of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation of October 7, 2002, was signed on August 26, 2022.
The Fourth Protocol provides for cooperation among the Collective Security Treaty Organisation member states, including in the field of biological safety. In addition, it sets forth the possibility of early termination of the powers of the CSTO Secretary General by decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
