In his message of congratulations, Mr Putin said that the vote’s results confirm the great authority that Mr Nazarbayev has among Kazakhstan’s people and broad support for his policy of rapid social and economic development, active involvement in Eurasian integration, and developing the strategic partnership and alliance with Russia.
The President reaffirmed Russia’s readiness to continue the dialogue and keep working together to build up all areas of bilateral relations and pursue constructive cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union and other international organisations in the interests of both countries’ peoples and in order to guarantee peace, stability and security in the Eurasian region.
