Visit to the United States. Anniversary session of the UN General Assembly
Vladimir Putin spoke at the plenary meeting of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session the Russian President met with President of the United States Barack Obama, Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe, President of Iran Hassan Rouhani, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Chairman of the State Council and the Council of Ministers of Cuba Raul Castro, Prime Minister of Iraq Khaider al-Abadi, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud and Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu. Vladimir Putin also had meetings with a number of heads of international organisations who took part in the UN General Assembly session.
