Trip to Sochi
In Sochi, Vladimir Putin had an informal meeting with President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych. At a meeting with heads of winter sport federations held the next day, the President discussed the Russian athletes' preparation and training for the Sochi Olympics. Also, Vladimir Putin met with President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach. Together they took part in a ceremony inaugurating the new Adler railway station.
